Learn English: Economics and Perfect Infinitives

Course Description

No matter where we live, having a basic understanding of finance and investments is essential. We have therefore designed this course to provide you with the basic vocabulary used to discuss the world of money and investments. We also lay out various investment options and discuss basic financial concepts. The course then describes how economies affect world markets and shows you how to discuss these issues in English.

After providing new vocabulary, the course focuses on two grammar topics. We first review the grammar rules governing using the four future tenses: future simple, future continuous, future perfect, and future perfect continuous. We compare the roles of 'will' and 'shall' in forming future tense sentences. Our second grammar topic covers perfect and infinitive modals and explains how to use them to form sentences that refer to the future.

The course's last section integrates your newfound vocabulary and grammar skills by practicing reading, listening, and writing. We combine what you have learned about finance, investments, future tenses, perfect modals, and perfect infinitives. There are writing tips and exercises in our 'Resources' section designed to help you perfect your English skills and acquire confidence. Sign up today and use your expanded vocabulary and grammatical skills to discuss finance and investments in English.
