Course Description

Would you like to become more proficient in English and understand its many nuances? This course is the perfect tool to equip you with the skills necessary to become confident in the language. The first section of the course will look at vocabulary related to different kinds of novels, such as romance novels or fantasy. You will then move on to the language needed to describe buildings.

Following this, you will study prepositions in the grammar section. Prepositions are words placed before a noun to indicate the relationship of that noun to other words in the sentence. You will combine prepositions of place and time using the words 'in,' 'on,' and 'at' before discovering prepositions of movement, for example: 'down,' 'up,' 'around,' and 'to.' Next, you will look at prepositional phrases of time, place, and movement, a group of words within a sentence that starts with a preposition and ends with the preposition's object. End this section with a review of superlative adjectives, learning how to use prepositional phrases after superlative adjectives.

The course's final section deals mainly with enhancing your reading and listening comprehension abilities. Using the vocabulary and grammar skills you have gained through the course, you will practice speaking by asking and answering questions using what you have learned. You will complete the course with a downloadable writing task from the 'Resources' section. Don't delay!
