Course Description

Whether you believe in superstitions or not, they form an integral part of our history and culture. This English course provides the vocabulary you might use to discuss popular superstitions. We explain how to use these new words to describe their cultural relevance and add practical words and phrases to your growing English vocabulary.

The course then covers two grammar topics. The first reviews conditional sentences and explains how to form zero, first, second, and third conditional sentences before examining continuous verbs that include conditionals. Our second grammar topic explores mixed conditionals. We demonstrate how to use second and third conditionals in a single sentence and compare second/third to third/second conditional sentences. The course also teaches you how to form negative statements and questions using mixed conditionals.

Our final section integrates your newfound vocabulary and grammar skills and allows you to practice reading, listening, and writing English. We combine what you have learned about superstitions, conditional sentences, and mixed conditionals. Writing tips and exercises are available in our 'Resources' section to help you gain more confidence in your English mastery. Taking the free English assessment at the end of the course will help you recognize how much you have developed your skills after completing this course. Sign up for this English course to use your expanded vocabulary and grammatical skills to debate superstitions and myths.
