Course Description

Whether you are passionate about traveling or desiring the academic route of obtaining a college degree, we all have goals and dreams that we want to achieve. Some short-term plans involve our careers or securing success in the workplace, while others are lifetime dreams on our 'bucket list.' This Spanish course introduces you to all the required vocabulary to discuss significant life events.

After completing the vocabulary section, you will explore essential grammar points. We begin by introducing you to the subjunctive mood, one of the three moods in Spanish. Learn how to correctly conjugate the present subjunctive to express desire, uncertainty, and feelings with regular and irregular verbs. The second grammar topic explains using periphrases with infinitives and gerunds in Spanish. Understand which verbs use a gerund and which verbs use infinitives.

We have designed the final section of the course to recap all the vocabulary and grammar skills you have learned throughout the course. You will practice reading, listening, speaking, and writing using what you have discovered about the present subjunctive and verb periphrases. Learning any language is challenging, so taking any of Alison's Spanish courses is ideal if you want to be proficient in this language. It provides new professional and personal opportunities, so start learning with us today.
