Course Description

As climate change becomes more prevalent, more and more natural disasters occur daily. There is a flood in one part of the world, while there is a drought in another. Learning and understanding all the words and phrases to converse about disaster preparedness is integral and may avert casualties and save lives. Our first topic covers vocabulary used to describe various weather systems. Explore all the expressions used during disaster response to prepare you for such crises'.

The following two sections investigate precise grammar areas. We start with 'time clauses,' which indicate a temporal relationship between two actions or events. You never use them independently and always use them in conjunction with a 'main clause.' You will learn about indicative and subjunctive phrases for future events using 'cuándo', 'antes', 'después', or 'hasta'. We then examine conditional sentences for actual or future events. Understand how conditional sentences work, how to combine them, and then compare conditional sentences to time clauses.

Read a spellbinding 'Tornado Survivor Story' and answer comprehension questions using the new vocabulary and grammar skills we have studied during the course. Listen to the hurricane weather forecast and have a 'disaster preparedness conversation' easily before downloading the writing activity from the 'Resource' section, which will further your confidence. Don't wait. Take this Spanish course today and continue to improve your language skills.
