Course Description

This basic Spanish course is designed to help you become more comfortable speaking Spanish at the beginner level by improving your command of the language's grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary. We begin by examining the intonation of sentences in Spanish. This aspect is important since your tone and emphasis when speaking can significantly impact how you are understood. We then show you how to pronounce the letters ‘H’, ‘J’, ‘G’ and ‘R’ when speaking Spanish so that you sound like a native.

These Spanish classes then go over specific grammar rules and explaining how to use regular and irregular verbs in the present simple and negative forms. We demonstrate how to use adverbs of frequency like 'siempre’ ('always‘), 'usualmente' (‘usually’), ‘a veces’ (‘sometimes’) and 'nunca' (‘never’) to ask questions about how often something happens.

Our final topic expands your vocabulary. We teach you how to combine objects and verbs from activities or chores to construct phrases like 'escuchar música' or 'leer un libro’.
