Learn Spanish: The Media and Questions in Indirect Speech
Course Description
With today’s technology, we have the most current news at our fingertips. Therefore, this Spanish course is designed to provide you with vocabulary related to mass media, allowing you to report on what’s happening in the news. We provide you with a glossary as well as example sentences for you to understand these vocabulary words well.
After the vocabulary section, this course analyses two grammar topics. The first grammar topic discusses direct speech and teaches you how to convert direct speech into indirect speech. Master the use and application of indirect speech and the rules governing its structure in Spanish. Learn which verbs to use, ‘verbos de lengua’ in Spanish, when creating these sentence structures, how to use imperatives, and how to create questions using indirect speech. The second grammar topic discusses changes in verb tenses, pronouns, changes in time, and changes in place when changing from direct to indirect speech.
Finally, you will get an opportunity to practice your newfound knowledge using our Student Practice section. The exercises in the 'Student Practice' section are designed to help you revise your reading, listening, and speaking skills while drawing on the knowledge you have gained from all topics in this course. The downloadable writing task, found in this course's 'Resources' section, will allow you to write and structure three paragraphs of text into a short news article.
